Coleslaw is a fresh and delicious side dish to any protein, as a burger salad or simply enjoy as a snack or main dish!

The items:
1 head of cabbage
1-2 apples
1/2 lemon
3 carrots
250 ml mayonnaise
1 tsp. salt
2 tablespoons syrup / honey (optional)
1/2 box raisins or dried berries of choice
a handful Walnuts (optional)

The action:
Cut the cabbage into small strips (remove the hard core)
Grate apples and carrots. Squeeze in the lemon juice. Add the raisins or dried berries.
Add the salt, syrup (if the cabbage is bitter) and mayonnaise. Finish with adding the walnuts if you want them.
Mix with your hands for best result.

Cool overnight is a good thing, but not necessary.

The servings:
With grilled foods, pulled pork, on sausages, as a burger salad or by itself!
